Articles (die, der, das)

Nouns in German have one of three genders: feminine, masculine or neuter. Each requires a different definite article: die, der or das respectively. There is no rule to determine the gender of each noun, German speakers learn them from repetition.

In this exercise, you will be given a list of nouns and you need to type their articles next to each one. When you are done, click 'Check my answers' to see the answer key.
